self-classified as alternative rock, pop-punk, port colborne based "life like life" offers what it takes to make a mark in the independent music scene. though the three contributing members offer three very different and unique styles, they blend it in a way that expresses all styles and influential backgrounds. Formed in april 2003, matt sorge (vocals, bass guitar), mike macdonald (guitars, vocals) and adam roberts (drums, vocals) spent a number of years, in a number of different bands, trying to penetrate the local music scene with limited success. though their individual styles are less than similar, they offer what they know respectively to each other, creating a distinct sound that may be virtually impossible to duplicate. previously and individually, life like life members have been in search for the "perfect" band, the "perfect" mix of all the right ingredients. you know...the "perfect" mix isn't in the measuring or the ingredients, it's in the trial-and-error process that makes it that much better the next time and it's in the over-all presentation. all previous bands have undoubtedly been learning experiences and their own individual roles in each pursuit have been the steps in which they have had to over- come to get to the next level. This is the next level, this is the time for them to make their mark, they are here to stay. come out to a show or, when available, purchase an album...listen to it, most likely you will hear it again, either by personal choice or by a car that passes you by. they truly love what they do and the best part is they do it for themselves with you in mind, consider it an offering. without you, they would be individuals, with you they are life like life.
